Out of brumation, and hopefully getting ready to entertain some lovely yeller ladies soon.

This young man is looking spiffy!

If I can I'm going to head out to photograph some wild yellowheads when I'm out in Colorado. I'll be there the last week in April and again the last week of Augut (I think). Anyone in the area that wants to meet up, don't hesitate to contact me.

Does that mean he is a hybrid Eastern/Auriceps?

Just curious because I wouldn't have known !! He looks a lot like a regular yellow head to me, though I'm no expert

He's a genuine yellowhead thats what he looked like without being heated up yet, right out of brumation. He gets quite blue. He is from the Colorado/ Utah area. A younger guy.

Anyway they did away with the C.c aureceps, and grouped the yellers in the C. collaris group.
