HUMIDITY

dynomite Mar 04, 2007 03:35 PM

I haven't been here in a while, but I need your guys' help getting the humidity up in my monitor's cage. I used to have a pool with a waterfall and an airstone in my rough neck's cage but as a student I don't have the time to maintain that right now (at my old place it was very easy to do weekly water changes, now it's incredibly difficult with the lay-out). What would you guys recommend? I can't get the hose into my room so nothing with huge amounts of water if possible... is there a product i could buy? his cage is 3 ft deep by 6 ft wide by 5 ft tall (excluding the dirt). thanks, i'll post some pictures later.
Thanks,
-Jake

I think the most efficient way to retain humidity is to make sure you have a well sealed cage, with only 1 or 2 small vents towards the bottom of the cage(a few inches above the dirt line). combine this with about 1.5 - 2 feet of dirt and you'll keep plenty of humidity with in your cage.
cheers
