Bull Morph Question Regarding poss Ghost

seboba17 Mar 04, 2007 08:13 PM

I am new to owning bulls, I just purchased my first pair in November. My male was sold to me as a ghost, however as I research more into bull morphs, I'm wondering if this is accurate. His breeder told me his parents were hets that produced a few different morphs in their offspring, but he wasn't very specific and I didn't know enough about bull genetics at the time to really question him further. (stupid move, perhaps, but I wanted the snake)

When looking through pictures, he looks much closer to an ivory than the ghosts I've seen, as his patterning is very pale and non existant on his sides.

Is it more likely he is an ivory, or perhaps a white sided ghost bull? Or is there just a lot of variety in the ghost genes in bulls (I come from the perspective of a corn snake breeder and know there are huge varieties within their ghost morph)?

Sorry I don't have any pictures, I will try to post some but the gentling process with him has been slow and he tends to freak out if I even look at him.
