There used to be great website somewhere that was called "Is my ball python a morph?". I can't find the link right now but you might search for it.

Here's the guts of their argument. A wc Ball Python that can be labelled a morph is worth more money. So when the exporters in West Africa get their thousands of BPs from the field, they check to see if any of them could possibly sold for more money.

When they arrive at the wholesalers here in the US, the wholesalers look through to see if there are any that could possibly be different enough to charge more for. Then they go out to the next level of distributors and another person tries to cherry pick out some extra "valuable" snakes.

Furthermore, all along the way, many top breeders have standing orders with importers that say "I'll pay you top dollar if you find me the new morphs in any batch of imports".

The net effect is that a new "morph" of BP is VERY inlikely to make it into public sale/circulation.

Of course, that doesn't stop unscrupulous people from buying up 50 import babies at $6 each and then selling them on KS classifieds as possible morphs or even making up new morph names to increase their profits.

Your BP is very nice looking, and so, IMHO, it is a very nice looking normal morph BP.

The whole ball morph thing is nuts.We used to import hundreds and several were morphs that sold at normal prices . These same types sell for even thousands now we missed the boat.
