Question about IBD

Can elapids get IBD or is it only is pythons and boas. I have heard both answers but I don't know which one to believe.

Everything I have read says it only affects pythons and boas, but I've always wondered if it "came from" other species as asymptomatic carriers-they carry the disease but don't get much if any problems with it-I've never read anything about it happening that way but if it ONLY affects pythons and boas that might explain why.
