I keep a large collection of Hondurans. I just like the color variations and they are my favorite. I also have a pair of Irian Jayas, because they do not get to big and are calm as can be. I just posted a picture of the IJ in a post below.

We also work with Cooks, they are "shoelaces with teeth" as a friend of ours puts it, lol.... But they are really interesting snakes. We also have Chinese Box Turtles close to about 30 of them now and we are working on expanding a breeding project wih Pink Belly Sidenecks. We also have alot of different things that seem to find there way to the facility. I also LOVE my dogs we are looking to start Breed showing soon

I picked one up on a whim, once she settled down (and I found out "he" is a she) I'm becoming quite addicted. Like the chunkiness of them, the mezmarizing patterns, and inquisitive nature.

Yes they are pudgy!( snakes after my on heart!lol) They have slow metablolisms. I've never fed them anything larger than a medium. ( plus any left overs from my BPs) Though I'm sure they'd eat one if you put it in front of them.

I would love to get into Borneos too, but the size is a draw back for me. I saw an adult at a show last year and it was as big around as my leg!!! I sold my beloved burm for the same reason. Not enough space! Great looking animals you have there.
Thanks!
They are heavy bodied, but they don't get very long. I think 6ft for a large female and males are considerably smaller.A big snake in a small package!
The males can easily be kept in a 3 foot cage, and a 4 foot cage for breeding females They are terestrial, with minimum cage height requirements.
( Not that I'm trying to sell you on them LOL!)

Here are a few big girls and boys.... The Male is in the blue bin and the big female is in a very large sterilite. The one being held is a smaller 2 yr old female the other 2 are about dbl her size. The 2 big ones eat Jumbo Rats.

I love morelia pythons, in fact I bred Coastal Carpets long before I started working primarily with ball pythons. The thing I like most about Morelia pythons, is that most of them thrive in a display type set-up. Right now I have a Moluccan Python(morelia clastolepis) and a Biak locale GTP.
Here is a pic of my moluccan.

any more pics in the encolsure?
Here are a couple pics I took today, as a bonus he shed last night so he has a fresh glow going for him.

Beautiful python, and a darn nice set up too.
How big do those guys get anyway?

I see your point...............nice snakes!
Our Angolan is tops for me!
But I also love the others that we have started working with:
GTPs are just really neat creatures - and when they go through their color change it's like getting a whole new snake. LOL
And the Bredli is a sweetheart a really nice looking snake with an excellent temperament.
I'd also like to pick up a pair of Womas in the near future and I'm waiting on a blood to be delivered in warmer weather.
Maybe one day I'll even get up my nerve to buy us a boa.
-----
Tosha
Do the angolians go through the stubborn eating phases like balls? I really like them and thought about getting into them.
He is a pretty good feeder - occasionally he'll skip a meal and goes off feed hit or miss feedings) for the winter - not a garbage disposal but not too picky either. I've been keeping balls for way too many years to be able to call and occasional skipped meal picky - LOL.
The biggest difference is that he is a lot more active than the balls and really does better if you take him out and play with him. If you can afford them - I'd really recommend getting into them - they are great animals. And talk about holding their value! It's still over $2K for a normal male - LOL.
If you are on a budget the Bredli is a great snake that has never passed up a meal - docile but really interactive - they've got some great color too especially if you like the brick red. Smurfette is still a juvie and hasn't quite come into her adult colors yet. But she'll get a much bigger than a ball.

Tosha
Tosha I just love that Angolan, they are right at the top of my wish list. The Chondro and Bredli are very beautiful pythons as well, especially like the eyes on the GTP.....wicked cool.
Out of everything here..my favorite position is pretty much a tie between Retics, and Bloods/Short tail pythons.
I never really liked ball pythons, I have more of a liking for them now, but I honestly prefer larger species more so, even if I am a wee bit short
Why do I like retics especially, to put it plain and simple, some animals just demand the respect of their keepers, and they certainly have mine. Bloods and stp's, well they don't really get too lengthy, but they have the girth, and can pack one heck of an attitude to go along with themselves, but I love them.
When all is said and done I like a little bit of everything though, some just more than others. I'll just always consider myself lucky for being able to keep and work with such amazing animals.

I currently only work with balls, but I'm starting to research 2 other species I would like to work with. First the angolian pythons , because they're similar to balls in size and apperance great looking snakes, and then the black headed pythons. They are beautiful snakes that are lightning fast, eat like horses and are not too big.
I saw one at Daytona,
I was shocked how huge it was.
It had to be close to 9-10 feet, and a good 5-6"in diameter! That's pretty big in my book.

Thank you very much! I really appreciate that. Since I've been keeping chondros, I've grown more attached to them year after year. I've learned to keep my interests invested in what I have and it's definately paid off. I'll be contacting you soon about a website. Nice work.
Thanks again.

It shows in your collection, and your chondros are some the of the most beautiful and well maintained that I've seen for sure. Thanks, and def keep in touch.

Chondro pythons are my favorite snakes and always have been. Right now I only have one, she was a rescue from a guy who neglected her. She came to me dehydrated, skinny and with mites. Happy to report several years later she is a very healthy and happy GTP.

Nice blue on that one! Any lineage info? Very nice.
Brandon Osborne
Thanks, I was quite impressed with the amount of blue on her for an Aru local. She has nice white flecking as well mixed in.
I am sorry, I do not have any lineage on her line, as the guy I got her from was a bit "confused" about the state of his collection. She's been a joy to own however and very sweet to handle. Much different then my previous chondros.
