Here's the latest on my "Tangerine" Pinstripe project. This is a "new" project to the public, but I've been developing these geckos for the last three years.
This is the original Tangerine Pinstripe, a female that I have referred to as "pink" in the past. In fact, "Pink" is now her name because that's how I remember her.
I bred the original female above to Stripes (my male lavender pinstripe) in 2006. From that pairing, I got about half Tangerines and half Lavenders, but nothing else...no "in betweens" or anything.
What makes this color different than that of normal orange/red/pink geckos is that the color seems to show up "on top" of everything else, including the cream on their backs and the pinstriping. You'll also notice that the Tangerines all have dark rusty patterns just below the pinstriping on their sides and just below the crests on the head.
This last one is cool because she's about 98% pinstripe AND her dorsal pattern is almost solid cream.
Here are some of the oldest lavender siblings...
These geckos are the ones that didn't come out with the Tangerine color. They're awesome too, though. I started a new project for these, so I can make more like them. I like how they have a hint of that dark rusty color from the Tangerines showing up in the cream pattern.
Full Pinstripe Male
This guy is killer. Perfect pinstripe, perfectly clean lavender coloration and dalmatian spots for good measure. ;D
Almost Full Pinstripe female.
This female is nice, but not nearly as clean as the one above.
Aside from the ones here, I have about 3-4 more Tangerines growing up and a bunch of lavender siblings. I can't wait to start getting eggs from these guys!
