Is this ok??

seductivereptile Mar 06, 2007 07:34 PM

Ankh has found his favorite spot.. I am just wondering if its ok. LOL Just in case you didn't figure it out... Yes, its an oven mitt, but he really loves it. My question is... WHY, and is it ok to let him hang out in it??

not really ok. he can pop a nail or even a spike off in there.
he likes it because it is snug like it would be in his burrow or a rock crevice.

I do not know if it is okay or not.
However in a wild setting he would not find too many oven mitts
I would make a hide that he can feel touch his back.
A low hide...wide, but low...possibly tapering...burrows in the wild are wider than they are high...use as a guide?
They seem to prefer the feeling that they are wedged in their hide.

Oven mitts aside, I did find a wester fence lizard in a pair of garden shoes numerous times....

LOL I agree on not finding many oven mitts in the wild, that would really look funny. I let him "play" in it for a while before the lights went out, it wasn't something I would have left in as a hide, just sorta like a play thing. He truly loved hanging out in it, it was hard to get him out. Plus, it won't be long before he will be too big to fit. LOL

Wouldn't it be great if you could be so easily entertained? By an oven mitt?
