I don't think that is the norm. Most of my morphs eat like pigs, I would say the % is the same with me as far as picky norms vs picky morphs.

Hi! No its not just yours and I have a theory on this but every time I post about selective breeding I get bashed so if you wold like to contacted me I will E-Mail you back and we can kick it around . Thanks David of DS Reptile Rescue
I've noticed no different - mine are all garbage disposals from spring to winter.
Rumor has it pieds and their hets tend to be picky feeders and on the flip side spiders garbage disposals. I also know that there seems to be a genetic link as to how offspring feed - mousers tend to have mouser offspring, garbage disposals produce more garbage disposals, and picky feeders produce picky feeders. So it may just be a trait that has been bred into the line you are working with?
Are they all kept the same way and attended to in the same manner? Do you have a tendency to take your morphs out and play with them more? Maybe you're stressing them more?
Could be any of a number of factors or just coincidence.
Love them no matter what.

Tosha
they are hardly ever out. i keep them in animal plastics rack.
Mine are about the same. 6 morphs 6 norms 1 picky eater in each. Did you buy from a reputable breeder? Not to accuse anyone, but some breeders will keep thier hatchlings a month or so and sell thier picky eaters off and hold back the ones that are great eaters. Many balls don't become "picky" until they reach subadulthood also.
How many months is considered the start of "sub adulthood"
thanks

I have also heard what Tosha said about different traits being more aggressive feeders, and part of me beleives it but we have a pied female that is a very picky feeder and we also have a male pied and a female pied who were garbage disposals when younger, at 3 years our male pied still dosent breed well at all, i think they develop slower then say a spider. We have had spiders breed very small, but we have also had picky spiders to start feeding but then they take off. Our het pieds will all tear off your face when you open their bins though. I personally thing CH babies eat exstremlly well almost more so at times then CB babies...
I think in the long run though it is pretty much equal between morphs and normals for us anyways when it comes down to feeding..
What kind of morphs do you have ?
Kim
I've heard it rumored that female pieds are slow growers. As a result, I've heard many breeders hold onto their het pied females to breed with their pied males. I have seen this strange effect in person, and it appears to be true. I don't know why.
