most appear to agree it's #3 but see what I see (not for dial up)

LauraV Aug 12, 2003 01:02 AM

Are my eyes playing tricks with me?? Granted I cannot see the full of each dragon, but what I do see matches up 100% unless I am seeing what is not there. This is keeping in ind that dragon patterns may change a little with growth. There is almost no change that I can see comparing these two.

pic 1 dark blotch meets saddles in a point

pic 2 upside down V tiger stripes meet saddles rounded off

pic 3 single tiger stripe meets saddles in slight left slash

pic 4 double upside down V tiger stripes meet saddles rounded

pic 5 "W" shape saddle small "V" on left large on right

pic 6 small "M"ish between saddle pattern indents deeper into saddles

pic 7 very rounded oblong saddle

pic 8 large fat "W", butterfly like

Since most do not agree with me, I will work on pics of 3 and 1 together.

Thanks for looking.

I owuld have to say you have some GREAT eyes!!! LOL, I have to agree they are 2 of the same dragons, mostly because of ( I think it was the 4th pics) a pattern that was just kind of differant, that was the same on both dragons. Again you have great eyes..I don't think you have to do it to the other photo's I think you spotted the right one!!! A bautiful dragon too!!

flammingcat Aug 12, 2003 03:44 AM

One more thing, right down the baby's back the 4th break, (maybe just my eyes) but the 4th one if you look it almost looks like a mickey mouse head, (maybe I'm to into my kid's cartoons LOL) but that is what it looks like I know on your 1st comparison photo you can't really see he back that well, but you can kind of see it looks like she has the same mark, the other ones don't here is the mark I'm trying to pint out on the baby, I circled it in black,,

Yeah that looks like the same dragon to me. Chris

Get this - I looked at this pic in the classifieds for sale and emailed the
breeder to see if my female that I had bought but not received was found
yet.

She said:
have sent you several emails...keep bouncing back. Let me know if you get
this one. The female posted is from a different clutch. Still have 2 left
from your clutch, but can't seem to get emails through.

Ok - One, no one else is having trouble sending me emails that I'm aware of - (but it could happen)??? And Two, I never asked her if that female was MY female she just jumps in with the info (the lie).

I am VERY disappointed in this breeder. I bought the dragon (because I saw potential in a tiny baby) for $75, now she wants $300 and claims it is not the same baby. It is too exactly similar, whereby the others are not at all. The sad thing is she is either bald face lying to me or just very confused.

What can I do??? I want what I paid for. Should I be able to get her? Should I have to pay $300 when I already bought her for $75?? Should I confront her
on her lie and act like maybe she made a mistake???

So, I've decided to you all at the forum what you think I should do and what my rights are here. I don't much care for getting messed over (I don't suppose anyone does). )
Let me know please.
Thanks for helping.

If you could possibly blow up those pictures and make them bigger without losing the detail in them. I would do exactly as you have here and send her an email pointing out the facts as you see them. "If" it is the same female and you already paid for her you should get her for that price. Sounds like she saw the same potential and regretted selling her for $75 and has been "playing" with you since. NOT good business if you ask me.

You may also be able to find a breeder with a great name in the business (well known like Chris, Sundial, etc) and have them give you their opinion on the pictures and have them agree to let you forward their opinions to this breeder also.

Sounds like she is trying to backtrack and regrets the sale... What I want to know is.... How the heck do you "lose" a sold baby?

see if you cant get statements from other repectable breeders and ask if you can use their opinions and send them to her, thats a good idea.

If you have been breeding for some time and have established a respectable name in the business...please offer me your honest opinion on the pics I have provided.

This pic and description was provided by another breeder:

This pic was provided by the breeder who claims this isn't my girl. It is supposed to show the markings are way different (we do not have a back pic of the baby), but I think it shows the "mickey mouse" pattern on the 4th saddle down that was described as being seen on the baby by another breeder in a post above. Do you see the "mickey mouse"?

I appreciate any help you are willing to give me to fight for my rights. Some of you may not want to get involved, but if you do, bless you, and may someone be there to help you when you need it.

I told her the day of shipping that the one she had picked out I was not *positive* on sex. She said I had to be positive on sex as she had to many males...I said I had several that were slightly bigger and as good or better color and could be sure on sex, she said fine! Then said she wanted the other one if it was female also later on...a few weeks later I sent it out I am sure as the color was not impressing me..a chance you take with babies. This Dragon in question (she says I posted an expensive female for sale this week and it was the original one she wanted 2 1/2 months ago) it is from a different clutch, related mothers..same father, and I KNOW that......I offered to pay all shipping including hers to return the dragon and refund her, but she wanted to keep it, then just buy the other if it turned out female. I never gave it another thought, they don't color I don't keep them. I have 3 left from the clutch hers was from, none have pattern like that one either. I don't know what to do, but I am not sending her a 300 dragon, over 3 months old, for 75.00 when she originally bought a 6 week baby, barely sexable. The differences in the pattern alone down the center of the back leaves WAY to much question for me or anyone to be sure it is the same dragon and I rarely make a mistake in placing babies back in tubs. They are labeled by clutch on each tub. Enclosed is a pic, the one she originally wanted, and the other I sold this week. Do you think they are the same dragon? The patterns are to different. I have NEVER lied to anyone, or intentionally hurt anyone. My reputation is very important to me.Basicly I have tons of red and orange and in no way need to single one single baby out and try to get out of a sale. Buyer says she did not want to stress baby with shipping again...LIE! She buys and resells dragons all the time winthin a week or 10 days of sale...so I don't buy that at all. She has a very nice dragon, wants to keep it, and just wanted another...I sold that other I am positive in a load lot for color not impressing me at all. I do have a male that really closely resembles that pattern but no avail it won't be the right one as it is a male. SHE agreed to a different dragon to be sure on sex, I never just sent a different dragon as she claims! I am sick of her twists and turns on this deal and especially her feeling ripped off and trashing me and my dragons....and shame on you people catering to her whining without knowing anything of the other side of the story!
