Well this is Flickas fresh shed of today and when ppl who come over WOW at it, even though she is 6' her shed is 9' due to stretching as we all know. So how many of you save you sheds and do you use them for anything.?

in one of the last pics it looks like you made a plastic runner (carpet protector?) out of the skin. is a runner or did you just decide to encase it to save? am i the only one who thinks making a shed into one of those plastic carpet protectors would be cool?

At the end of each month I take all my snakes sheds and make soup. Skin, broth, and some veggies = Excellent soup! Try it!

I' saved many from my first BCI Elvira - RIP. Got har as a baby and had her for 17 years.

I put the sheds up on the wall and ran string connecting two sets of patterns to show the growth.

BTW, I tried stretch them as little as possible and the longest shed is 12 feet, Elvira was 10 1/2 to 11 feet for that shed.

thnks for all your replies, i will spread mine out like shown, however doing it dry better than wet better? Im impressed on the office wall, wish i thought of that. I don't stretch it, it is as it is, is there anything you do to preserve them, hairspray??
Let's see some more!!

Yep, I save all my "good" sheds too. I use them as prizes for when I do educational talks. I always ask some questions at the end and the kids who answer correctly are always thrilled to get a real, live snake skin.

I take my shed skins and put them in my Mother N' Laws bushes. or on her front steps. This is to let her know that her daughter will go to the curb before my snakes will. I take them to my dad house too, pretty much do the same things at his place as I do at my Mum n' Laws. He hates snakes to and can't believe I make a living at breeding and selling Boas. I love this biz and if your not having fun while doing it then get out.

Just kidding about My wife getting kicked to the curb, those of you who know me, know my wife and kids come first! And I wouldn't be were I am today without them!!!

I have saved the skins and tried gluing them to various objects. Bookcovers, picture frames etc. I am still trying to find a clear coat thick enough to give the illussion of being encased in glass.
