submerged under water. I was feeding some snakes and well my female Brazilian was in her water bowl. Instead of lifting her out. I just stuck the prey animal under water, she flicked her tongue under water and nailed it and ate it like an anaconda ( I believe as some others that they are closely related). Probably very common just never saw it before, I usually lift them out of the water. I also keep yellow anacondas and never bother to lift them out of the water during feeding. I will no longer bother the Brazilians either, they sometimes will not eat if I disturb them by even the slightest handling (even with a hook. So I learned something new today. Makes sense since they are closely tied to water.
