I have a 6-8 year old savannah monitor. I have been away to college, and my father and his new wife have been caring for him.before I left. When I got back for spring break, my monitor has lost a significant amount of weight. His tail is very thin, he is very weak. He refuses to eat, or drink water. I have him in a smaller cage so I can keep an eye on him. I have a powersun on him, I keep the cage dry and offer fresh water. He had mucus plugging his nose, but I soaked him in a bath and removed it. He has bubbles coming out of his nose and mouth. And he has a thick mucus coating around his mouth. I am very worried, what should I do to help him over come this. We dont have a vet that specializes in reptiles in town. Do you have any suggestions! Please, I am very worried... thank you for your time.
