abscess update..

WEEBEASTIES Mar 08, 2007 05:43 PM

just in case any one is interested...my vet took out the abscess on my boxie this morning. It was done without anesthesia, was very quick and straight forward. The turtle didn't enjoy this but it was done so quickly it really didn't bother her much. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else is reluctant to get this done.

Good to hear it was nothing too traumatic.

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that things are going well. It's usually best to let a trained Veterinarian perform surgeries like this. I think you made a wise choice.

I hope she continues to heal.

Sounds great! I've seen vets do this many many times. IMO too it's best to have a vet do this since they have the skill, equipment, & access to all the meds you need.
This turtle will be feeling better in no time!
Let us know how things are going.
