Nocturnal Tom (posts here a lot) has excellent stock.
I'm sure other breeders do as well.

Average price? I don't really know. I bought a neonate in December but I don't remember the price, it was under $100 shipped though. Not bought from Nocturnal Tom - bought from NewAgeReptiles - on a sale they were having.

Tom Stevens has some of the best looking MBKs his run around 30-40 dollars if I remember correctly. They come out of the egg almost completely black. His female is 5ft long. His site is Tomssnakes.com check him out.

My advice is to buy directly from a breeder - that way you can get an idea of the size and color of the snake's parents. There are plenty of MBK breeders, and like the others who posted said, that Tom Stevens dude is a great guy to deal with.

He posted below (screen name Nokturnel Tom) and his website is in his post. That dude should really just start his own fan club.

I think an MBK could live in a 20L its whole life, although a really big one might need a larger enclosure.

Yup- Tom is the man for MBK's, among many others.

His babies are HUGE!

I just picked up a pair from him the last go around, and I think if I remember correctly, his breeders were at it again just the other day!

Tom will take good care of you, and is very responsive throughout the whole process, which is another HUGE plus.

Totally agree with Todd, Tom's female is the current "giant" and she produces very large, very black babies, I have 1.2 of his hatchlings and they are stunning. He is also the best to deal with with great customer service. He da' MAN!

Thanks to everyone who mentioned me, I am pretty certain my breeders have locked up a few times already. I hope to have lots of little ones this season Tom Stevens

The neonate that I got in december (looks very simular to that one) was $50. I found the receipt. Shipping was $35. Total paid was thus $85.
