What type of mushrooms do easterns eat?

Mine like Russual Mushrooms. They grow only under oak trees so they are not hard to find in the summmer when we have lots of rain. I live in NJ and even the baby turtles will eat them.

can i buy those at the store? if i cant what are some good store bought?

You can go ahead and try different store bought mushrooms, and see if your turtle will eat them. Mine don't happen to like store bought mushrooms, so I gave up feeding them to the turtles.

They will eat wild mushrooms that aren't suitable for human consumption (therefore aren't sold in stores), so I collect wild mushrooms when I can. I just gather an assortment of mushrooms and put them down for the turtles: they tend to go for ones with red caps, or for ones that have some color.
