Purple adults?

durrus Mar 09, 2007 08:12 AM

Do purple blotched San Diego and Pacific Gopher babies grow into purple adults or do the purple blotches tend to change white in the adults?
I don't think I have ever seen a purple adult.
Thanks
Kevin

Thanks Jason,
That is what a good buddy told me. I had a choice between a baby purple blotched Albino Pacific and an adult Albino Pacific. Yes, the baby was more striking, but was a lot more money. I bought the adult.

Are we discussing the "lavender" or "t " or McGurty line of SD Gophers?

If so, then the ten pairs of adults (including a pair in my collection) that I have seen are are both lavendar as adults and also dimirphic. The males are darker lavender than the females. The females being more orange.

If we are not discussing this bloodline then ignore my post!
