"my new iguana" (how sad)

oregonlizardlady Mar 09, 2007 12:26 PM

My husband and i spend alot of money and time helping people that get that "new iguana" and find it not so blissful in a couple of years when they turn mean or have expinsive health problums. It makes me sick to see so many animals needing homes. Please if you are looking for an Iguana check out rescues first. Buying from petshops only makes the problums worse. And please if your looking to rehome an iguana make sure that the person knows what they are doing, or will take the time to learn. We live in Southern Oregon and many people think they can just let these animals go in the wild when they don't want them anymore. Meaning death for the lizard let go in our cold climate. Please don't just throw away a life. I am happy to see so many people here looking for good reliable information! God bless all you Iguana Lovers!
