Colchicine: update on frog's leg

ginevive Aug 12, 2003 08:00 AM

Well, it looks like maybe we don't need a vet. The leopard frog's leg appears normal today, and she is jumping as normal and ate a few crickets. I was supposed to go to the vet's this Friday but I might cancel since the frog looks normal again. Maybe her leg was temporarily disjointed, like when a person disjoints their shoulder? I am really at a loss here; it's like the guy taking the car to the mechanic for making a weird noise while driving, then the car is fine for the mechanic.
I am going to wait until Thursday to make sure the leg does not become abnormal again. But honestly, it looks ok now, how strange.

Sounds pretty wierd to me. Amphibians, no matter delicate we make them out to be, have tremendous abilities to heal themselves! Thanks for the update.
