I bought what I BELIEVE is a female gecko from petsmart. But, I have no idea how old she is since I have no leo experience. I'm guessing she's 5-6 inches long. How fast do they grow? I know it varies, but I don't have a clue. Here's a pic:

It is hard to say, esp. since it's a Petsmart leo and possibly stunted by malnutrition, but I would guess 3 months or so, maybe 4.

Yeah I think 3-4 months is pretty accurate, but otherwise outside of her tail that looks kind of skinny (not your fault)she looks real healthy and hardy.

Thanks for the info both of you. I kind of thought her tail was a bit thin myself. She seems to be doing really well in her new home though. For the first few days I only had mealworms for her. She ate 1-2 every night. I picked up some crickets today and I know she's eaten a couple of them already and I'm sure she'll finish them off during the night. I think she'll fatten up on the crickets since they're more stimulating to her feeding impulse.
Don't be too surprised if she doesn't fatten up much right away - juveniles tend to put their energy into growth before they get fat tails. Oh, and a trip to the vet for a fecal exam to make sure she doesn't have any parasites would probably be a good plan too - I had one from petsmart die that way, and I won't buy from them anymore because of it. A little money now can save you a lot of grief later.

Yes it takes time to fatten them up to proper size. What is your substrate? Lighting? Heating? She should be fed approx 5-10 crix or as much as she will eat in 5-10 min. Mine eat about 10-20 crix a day and have a bout 3-5 mealies as a treat every other day. Some eat less.
