you've just gotten home.

All the family is together in the family room.

And you hear a crash in the snake room.

I was in there cleaning today and left a cage door unlocked.

See, it happens even to us "experienced herpers".

I go in the room and see the door ajar. Lefty is on the floor with the broom on the floor next to him and a guilty look on his face. Savannah was hanging out the open door thinking ooouuu, where do I go now. The other two in that section of the breeding cage were still in another cage section. so all quickly accounted for. Phew!!

LOL, to many snakes to list, last count:
19.29 BRB
13.18 BCI
And those are only the breeders

lots.lots.lots feeder mice and rats

I NEVER do this.... but last week I left a cage door unlocked after cleaning. I came in the next morning to check temps and found my big fat gravid triple het Frank Martin female sleeping on my cleaning crash cart! The reptile room is locked and sealed tight... she had no place to go.... but still nearly made my heart skip. Goes anyone else tend to treat gravid females like they're made of glass!! All I could think was......I hope those baby Moonglows didnt get to cold!!

lol, I think I would have had a heart attack.

Yeah, I think we all treat them like glass when the reality is in the wild they're not so pampered!!
