Ackie season

weidjd Mar 11, 2007 12:09 AM

When usually is the best time of year to purchase an ackie or have the best selection? Fall?

I seem to remember there being a slightly greater number of ackies for sale during the fall months. However, you will usually be able to find at least one or two sources throughout the year.

Cheers,

I have been breeding ackies since 91 and they do not have a season. They produce mostly year around.

It appears there are very few people who are consistantly producing them. Also, so many of the ones advertised on KS are crosses and mislabelled. You will need some luck to find good ones.

At this time I am not selling to the public, thanks

There were zero at the Tampa expo yesterday also. Last fall there were 5 or 6 "yellows" if i remember correctly. They SHOULD be around all year as they clutch all year, but that's not the case apparently.

Thanks for the info. I will just watching for them.
