i caught one of these before in a local canal. it was quite wierd how i aproched it too. i was trying to look for garter snakes, which i have never seeen in That particular canal before, and soon as i saw the garter, i went to grap it, but straight out a hole came a 5ft kingsnake and beat me to the garter. i caught the kingsnake, and kept it for years till it died. i live in vacaville california, does anyone know if that is a good place to try to catch another kingsnake? i miss my old one and been dying for years to catch another, please if you know, reference me a creek,canal,pond,lake that isnt more than 2 hours away from vacaville california. TY!
