I know this may be on the dumber side of questions, but here goes. I am thinking about getting a ball python, and buidling it's enclosure. I was considering trying to add powered ventilation, like small exhaust fans or something like that, and putting them on timers to simulate a light morning breeze. Does anyone know if this is bad for the animal, such as chill wise? I wouldn't do this over the basking spot. Any ideas? Thanks, and I really enjoy this forum. It's given me some great ideas, and once I get this snake, I'll get some pictures up.

I don't think I would recommend creating a draft inside a cage for a species that doesn't need excessive ventilation. Depending on how you heat the cage and set up vents thermodynamics may take care of air circulation for you. So it will get plenty of fresh air if that is your intended goal.

Even if I was designing a cage around a species that need excessive ventilation I would never set up any fan to blow air into the enclosure rather have the fan pulll air out of the enclosure. Drafts and breezes often lead to one thing URI!

Best of Luck

Yeah, it's a pretty dumb idea. Just glad I decided to post about it and research it some before I did anything stupid. Thanks for the help.
