TITANIUMS TIGER UP DATE PIC

PrehistoricPets Mar 11, 2007 09:58 PM

Well, it is still not all the way out but I thought everyone would like a semi-peak preview. The camera does not catch the wierd color but it reminds of what a Silver Streak Stripe Ball would look like but they do vary. This is going to be one crazy cool titanium tiger when it grows up. I took a good look at the titaniums and they have absolute grey backs with some unique color I can't even describe. When they are all out I will get a better shot. Anyways, I thought you would all like an update. Let me know what you are thinking about the way it looks. If anyone wants to come by and see them give me a one day warning and I will be there.

That has got to be without a doubt the most [bleep]in Retic I've ever seen! Me likey!!! A LOT!
I've seen one of your adult titanium and they were just stunning animals.
Actually I have two questions. My first may have been answered already but I do not remember what it was.
1) The titanium is a recessive gene????

2) I remember the adult titanium being uuuuummmmmm "fiesty". Are their offspring the same or mellow???????

I'll keep pondering a good name for this little one. Cannot wait to see them as they strat to shed out.
Just plain gorgeous.

The titanium is a co-dom gene, with the titanium being the super form of the citron (het titanium) if I remember correctly.

As for the other question I can't totally answer Im guessing the original male was an import, so if he is fiesty that could be why. I would assume the babies will be just like any other retic baby, and with work like you do with most, they can turn out great.

...Now I would like to say congrats to PP for proving these guys out, I had a feeling they would Retic morphs have really been taking off the past few years. So many possibilities yet to come too!

The hets we are breeding are CB and about 13 feet. They are puppy dog tame. The babies seem to be very calm also I think almost all CB retics if treated as a pet will be a pet

First of all thank you for replying.

When it comes to genetics I know the basics but get easily confused. So I'm guessing the Titanium is a recessive gene Like Albinism?

Great to hear the youngins are calm. Gotta love Retics. I know I do!!!! My favorites.
