Interesting to see

It started raining here in Austin today and this evening it's been pouring down. So I went outside to make sure Rosco was in his house and I saw him outside, in the dark, in the rain, drinking from a puddle that had formed about 3 feet from his house.

I guess he heard the water, decided he needed a drink, then went back to bed. I would have been worried about him getting wet at night but it's still in the 70s and he has a heat source in his house. I wish I could have taken a picture but it would be too much of a juggling act holding a camera, flashlight, and an umbrella.

Hello FredL,
This was a nice post you shared. It's nice to read how people observe and enjoy the companionship of their torts too. I simply adore my Leo & Star. They're so gentle and their little movements and personalities can be so endearing and funny. After work, I really love placing them on my bed and watch them do laps as I sit at my computer. Sometimes I place boxes and bags on the bed. They'll chase one another, explore the boxes and push them around. Then when they get tired they'll make their way over to me and sit right beside me as I type my friends at K.S; making relaxing at the end of the day so special!

i know what you guys mean. it's nice to read posts about people actually appreciating their animals and not just "collecting" them.

my redfoot has such a great personality, and it's nice to see him raise his head and look for me when he hears my voice when i come home. i never tire of watching him do his thing; they are just such gentle, mellow animals, and they are so amazing to watch as they explore and interact with their surroundings.
