Eastern King possible hybrid

Styric Mar 12, 2007 07:27 AM

They got it from someone else and I cannot get hold of them. They also told me the've seen easterns with that pattern and coloration before.

Since I cannot be sure, the snake will never be bred and I will be buying elsewhere if looking for a purebred. Until then, he's growing like a weed and I'm quite happy with him as a pet only. I'll be waiting to see what he turns out to look like when he gets older.

Actauuly "hybrid" is not the correct term. The two breed in a natural intergrade zone all over Florida. This one is just a man made intergrade.

got some ghostish looking ones as well:

I still have the Ghost one. he is very light. I will get some new pics after they eat and shed. I am just warming up my snakes. The official turn on the heat day is tommorrow since wednesday is when the new mice arrive. I am acclimating them now by opening all the windows and letting the warm sunshine in.

Its about 75F here in Georgia. How hot is it where you live?

Nokturnel Tom Mar 12, 2007 05:14 PM

It was about the same here too, 75 degrees or so. My MBKs bred already, Specks are on deck. Maybe Goini and a lot of other things coming up. Tom Stevens

That is one fat looking snake, for better or worse. Beautiful. Could use some stretching out though!

We will see what he looks like when he's older.. cause then I'd have to go shopping for a nice female for him.

I have an arrangement with the other half that for every two snakes, he gets a vehicle (he's a mechanic) so I have to think carefully!

If I could talk a man into a deal like that, I'd be buyin snakes all the time... And tellin him what cars he got to buy... I got a list of about 40 pre 1970 models that I want really badly...

Man that is one nice looking kingsnake. Stunning. If I did ever get an Eastern king, I now know what I'd do with it..
