My adult pacman was eating today & puss started oozing from the side of her mouth. I inspected & found a small amount of blood & a goodly amount of puss coming from a small lump on the side of her mouth, right where the top & bottom jaws connect. I did some pushing (clearly uncomfortable for her) with a qtip & appear to have drained the pocket of most of the yellow puss. I'm currently soaking her in clean, dechlorinated water. What else can I do to heal the wound. Can I use betadyne on her? Neosporin?
I'm willing to do a vet visit, but would prefer to care for her at home as I've taken 2 other herps to the vet in the last week & am finincially drained.
