Baby red is here!!!

MrSickle Aug 12, 2003 10:35 AM

WEll my red male (I hope it's male) arrived today and is already eating! He is much calmer than my Arg B&W I got last year at that age. He doesn't seem to mind me coming up to the front of the cage.

New Baby

Here's the cages I bought, which was a big mistake. Too many problems. The company drilled the holes for the light mounting hardware incorrectly (both cages) there was a damaged back panel, they sent the wrong parts of the frame for the second cage, and I had no stacking pins to stack the cages with. I'll take the money next time and invest in carpentry classes before I buy anything like that again.

awwwww, very cute...it's a shame about the cage though!! I have decided to build mine instead of buying for sure. I get my new baby next weekend, although I am getting a 2002 baby from bert at agama.....so nowhere near that little.

good luck with him/her....what did you name him?

Well, I learned the hard way about the cages, and I've just learned the hard way today about where to buy frozen mice. I should just stick to what works

I haven't named him yet..this is a process that usually takes many weeks. I usually try to see if there is a name that fits the personality.

What a sweet baby. I didn't know the reds started out green. Mine was 10-11 inches long when I got it and was already red. I have looked at those cages and wondered how they would work for tegus. Keep us posted.

I didn't know baby reds had green heads either. That is so cute!

Congrats on your new addition, MrSickle!
