Mud Tortoise

SalS Mar 12, 2007 10:21 PM

I just thought this was funny. We got a real heavy rain last night and I guess my Redfoot Tortoise wanted to make a mud pit. This is how I found her this afternoon. Later on, she left the pit and the male went in there.

And to think some humans pay big money for this kind of treatment!

Yeah, it's been rainging quite a bit here too. Since it's not cold Rosco has been out grazing and decided to make himself a mud pit too. He's been laying in it and flinging the mud on his shell with his front legs.

When I saw that title I thought is someone confusing tortoises with mud turtles?
Great picture!
I have to tell you I would NOT pay big money for that treatment but I'm glad your torts are enjoying it for free LOL
