Speaking of Axanthics-here is a new line

we are finally expecting eggs from. We got 1.3 imported hatchlings four years ago and finally I have them bred-wow it seems that it has been a long wait! The babies started out as classic axanthics (at least that I remember-it has been a while) silver black and white. As they matured they turned this very dark color-and the black is really black. I love all the axanthics, VPI, Jolliff, and the TSK. It will be interesting to see if this is yet another line-eggs are expected shortly.

It appears that the dorsal spots are gold and thus contain a high level of yellow? I find this interesting because I have a male of unknown background that also appears to exhibit some form of axanthism and exhibits gold dorsal markings. He is much lighter than yours though, looks like an average Joliff in some respects. His first breeding will be next season so I should know in a few years what is going on with him. What does the stomach on yours look like? Mine is clean white with smoky grey along the sides.
