amaura or annulatta or intergrade?

antelope Mar 13, 2007 10:55 AM

Here is a w.c. from Mustang Island,(Corpus Christi) Texas. In blue, sorry! Looks amaurish to me, the annulatta from west of the city are more typical with some graying and speckling as they age. Shannon?

Yep,
I would have to say there is some amaura in there.Has the hour glass bands rather than the straight bands.Typical annulata head and looks to be pretty short and stout like a annulata.

Going by "face-value", that's exactly what I see in the photo......a little "amaura" influence with the banding, and body/head characteristics of "annulata!.....ditto on that!

Thanks guys, weird little guy, I like the crossovers near his tail. Cool, we have both on that island.
