Isla Marajo Rainbow Boa. PICs

Jeff Clark Mar 13, 2007 10:45 PM

Isla Marajo Rainbow Boa, Epicrates cenchria barbouri. This one is an adult female. Identifying characteristics of this subspecies are the dark maroon color, heavy build, fatty looking short head and dark markings with limited crescents above the spots on the sides. I have only seen a few specimens and several PICs of Epicrates cenchria from Isla Marajo and they all had these features.

Bob,
...9 pounds and a little over 6 feet. My other female and male are siblings to her but both were poor feeders for several years and are 5 pounders.
