I was watching this show on the Food Network and it shows Anthony Bourdain eating an iguana tamales in Mexico. He said it was disgusting... [LOL!!!] Would you ever eat an iguana? I seems in many places in Central and South America they eat them like chickens. I was wondering what an iguana taste like. [laugh!]

A friend of ours went on a trip to south america- she said there was a boy standing on the side of the road holding up at least a 5 ft iguana- the boy was all torn up- he'd chased it through a bunch of bushes. He didn't want much for it but he said "good eat" to my friends so they bought it and let it go a mile or so down the road. lol

and no i wouldn't eat an iguana- my neighbor, every time we get a big one in- he (jokingly!!!) says- man thats a lot of meat that you're wasting!!- people up here want to eat them too....

Hey in some countries they eat dog... My son (9 at the time) found out about that and began having nightmares that his karate instructor (from Korea) was going to sneak in and eat our dog. Of course it didn't help when we went to the instructor's house for dinner and his dog ran through the room... I told my son that he better help catch dinner before it got away! 
Prior to having one I might have tried iguana, but there is no chance of it now!

I've eaten chocolate covered bugs, alligator, snake, and turtle so iguana would not be a stretch to try.
People eat deer, squirrel, possum, hell, humans eat anything that crawls, swims, walks, or flies so what's the big to do about eating iguana?
I'll be traveling to Costa Rica and I will make it a point to try iguana. A friend told me it tasted sort of like chicken.
