I feed them a mixed diet of meat and fish with green plants and vitamin sticks, but they are always swimmin like mad at me at the front of the tank looking for food. i feed them twice a day but i dont really want to feed them anymore, im not sure what to do.

All my sliders do that. You just have to ignore them. My Eastern Painted does the same thing. Every time I pass her tank, she swims as fast as she can to where I am and begs for food. She will eat as much as I give her until she throws up. After I lost my first hatchling by over feeding her, I learned. If you feed too often, you speed up the growth rate, and their shell becomes deformed. They are so cute when they beg for food, but you will do them more harm than good by overfeeding them. I agree with the post above. If you know they have enough food, ignore them.
