help, fruit flies in tank

i woke up today to find many fruit flies in my timor cage.
how do i get rid of them?
are they harmful?
someone plz help

substrate is dirt and cocoa mulch,
and i have real sticks (bugs may have come from them)

If they are what I see sometimes they are attracted to dead things and sometimes poop.
Clean it up and they will go away.
Not hurt anything except drive you nuts.
