I am really pleased with him and he was well worth the wait. I was also impressed by how big he is.
I can't wait to see pic's of your newbie's.
Here is a pic of one of the females I hope to pair him with next year.

next year. She is a laredo line female from John Cherry. What I love about her is she is off of wild collected parents and looks just like what you would probaly see in the wild.

If you could only see how "green" my face is now! Both from envy and from feeling sick to my stomach from missing out on that guy by a day!

Put him with the laredo female....her split saddles will go good with his. Then reserve me first choice on the hatchlings!

Thank you for the compliment on him and I will give you first choice on the offspring. The laredo will be a cool combo. The other female is from Randy Wright, she is off of Lemke stock. I just can't wait to see what he produces. Since things fell the way they did you will have first choice. You know green is a good color for this time of year... Just kidding with you Craig, I know it was a coin toss on who was getting him, Dan told me one more email from mine and he would have been sold. I was so releived when he emailed back and said he was mine. I had been going back and forth on him for about a month before I finally jumped. I almost waited to long, then i would have been very green...lol...

Don't worry about the spelling. Both of the females are for him, along with one from Tim in a few years. I really want to try and reproduce the white.

He is an 05. I was really thrilled to have 2 years growth on him. Made the waiting game a lot shorter.

Great looking male Michelle, is that e06?
-----
Mike

MichelleRogers Mar 15, 2007 10:55 PM

His numbers with Dan were Lmt2005e06. He is off of that really nice female with the hollow saddles. He really has nice size to him and if fed properly should go next year. I am going to stay on a tight schedule with him.

Yep... that's the one.

Looks like you have a very interesting breeding group planned with that guy, should be some mighty nice babies! I know the history on the Laredo female... what's the background on the first female you posted? She's a great looking girl.

Thank you again for all your kind words. The other female is from Randy Wright who bought the parents from Bob Montoua (sp?) who got them from L. Lemke. This is the info I got from Randy, I got a male and a female from him the male is a msp. I will enclose a pic.

Thanks Michelle, all of those are very fine examples, your white project has a very bright future I think! You know how much I like those things.

MichelleRogers Mar 16, 2007 07:06 PM

Yes they are very special creatures aren't they. I love them and the white project was one that I really wanted to get into and I guess my next one will be bright yellow.

Gorgeous!! I just love those white leonis! I didn't know that Dan still had thayeri. I was sad when I saw them disappear from his website.

I bet with those girls you've got lined up for him, you're gonna have a killer bunch of babies! Saving my monies!

You have some awesome white leonis yourself. It was sad to see the last of Dan's thayeri go. Kind of like and end to an era.
I was glad to be able to get one before they were all gone.
I actually got two but i haven't posted the other male yet, he was a surprise in the box.

hey I didn't realize Dan had gotten out of thayeri. Did he sell his collection or did he just put it on the back burner to try something different?
Russ

MichelleRogers Mar 16, 2007 08:29 PM

Dan got totally out of thayeri. I didn't beleive it at first until I emailed him and he confirmed it.

the reds on that snake really pop. Reminds me of some San Lois Potosis I saw in a friends collection. The red on those potosi really grabbed you. You probably already answered this in some other post but what are you breeding that to now or down the road?
Russ

MichelleRogers Mar 16, 2007 08:34 PM

Thank you for the compliment on him, I love the San Lois Potosi also, the red on black on those guys is awesome. I loved the red to white contrast is what grabbed me on him. He will be going with a female from Randy Wright and a laredo line female next year. This first one is the laredo female.
