Here ya go guys. 13 pearly whites Mom was very nice when I was taking them from her as usual. Just curious, what is every one doing for incubation lately. I did vermiculite for years, but have come to like pearlite better?? Any opinions??

Congrats on the clutch. I have yet to get any Python eggs but I have used both vermiculite and perlite for colubrid eggs and it is much easier to correct mistakes like being too wet or dry with perlite. I have also used a mix of both and it works well. You can flood the bottom of the container with perlite and water and put a much less damp layer of whatever on top and keep the humidity high and eggs dry. I like the fact that if your clutch is in a clear box you can see the water sitting at the bottom of perlite and have an easier time guessing if you should add water or not. Tom Stevens

Very nice, man!

The pair I got from you are doing AWESOME!

They're growing like weeds, and are as docile as any snake in my collection!

Going to try to snap some pics this weekend if the sun comes out...

Congrats, that is a beautiful sight! You have done really well the last couple of years breeding this very underrated species. As for the incubation medium, many people use perlite with out a problem, I personally still use a mixture of vermiculite and perlite.

Thanks guys. I use pearlite now myself. I was thinking about doing the thing with the plastic grating this year like alot of people are doing, but I figure Ive had good luck doin it this way so why change??
