The male just arrived. He looks half dead and the entire box stinks! I opened the box and this is what I found... I have NO idea what was in the deli cup with this guy but it is horrible. I do know it isn't poop! Looks like he had put a few roaches or something in there with him. All I can say is, when I opened the deli cup, the smell about knocked me over!

Least he could have done was ship him back in the same condition he got him in. After all, not many breeders will take a dragon back strictly because the buyer isn't happy with the color.

Is the dragon ok though? Thats the most important thing. He may not have shipped anyhting before and not known what to do corectly. The most important thing is if the dragon is fine. Glad you got him back though. Sometimes its worse if an owner gets stuck with an animal they dont want. The animal can get neglected. At leat now it will get the proper care untill it finds a new home. Good luck with him.

peace,
nate

It could be vomit. Some people don't realize they shouldn't feed a dragon before shipping.

Ok, he arrived about 10 minutes before I had to leave to go get my kids from school. What I did was give him a good (quick) bath and put him in his cage with some moistened pellets (moistened with pedialite). When I left he was still not moving at all and only had one eye open. I am amazed at the difference an hour can make, he is up and eating and looks to be doing ok.

No cold pack was in the box and when I opened it, the heat and smell hit me like a wave..... I actually think this dragon is pretty lucky. The man saved $4 or $5 by sending him standard overnight and not priority overnight with morning delivery. I guess both I and the dragon are lucky the Fed ex driver was running early, because usually standard overnight arrives about 4 pm. As it was, he got here at 2 pm and we are in the mid 90's right now.

Will let you all know how he is doing later this evening. Now that I don't have to rush out I am going to give him a proper bath and some TLC.

Did you send back another dragon? That dragon looks horrible, poor little guy. I wouldn't send another dragon into those conditions. I mean just from a shipping, a healthy dragon wont turn that bad that quick. There's got to be something wrong with the care.

good, i'm glad to hear that. That shows that your reptiles' safety is more important to you then money. Its nice to hear that in a world like today. And I'm sure most breeders on here are the same way, so dont get me wrong, lol.

I would send him back a hand full of Monopoly money. Are you kidding? That is just gross the condition that container is in. I have know idea what he put in there with it, but it looks nasty. He should have shipped it back the same way you shipped, priority or early delivery. What if the poor thing dies from that stress, or dehydration due to his shipping errors. Who looses? It's not your fault.
