Just took these pics. Got herself in a headlock. She's ready to go like right now. I wish she'd get on with it.

I know what your feeling, I have 2 girls that are just about the same way. I'm hoping they go soon.

Have you ever had one actually tie itself into a knot? I had a red-tail boa do it once. Way to much fun trying to get him to untie.

BTW: Nice snake. I love the no dots look. Good luck with eggs and babies!!!

Never had to untie a knot, as far as I can remember. Thanks for the comment though. I love her. That black back goes from her neck to her tail too. Way more uniform than the ones you see advertised as "black backs" The pattern didn't prove co-dom 2 years ago, so I'm wishing for recessive next year. She was actually sold to me as being 100% het albino too, so who knows. I'm gonna breed one of her cinny sons back to her next year. Best case scenario, I have a heart attack when a genetic black back cinnamon albino pops out Hey, we all dream, don't we?

You better post pics if it does. Of the babies not the heart attack.

2 years ago she was bred to a 100% het albino male. The babies looked way more like the male than her. Fingers crossed for recessive. But if not, she's still gorgeous and a perfect breeder.

Is that your daughter?

She is so lucky to grow up with balls.

Yeah, that's my oldest. She'll be 8 in June. That pic is actually a couple years old. It's funny that all 3 of my kids (2 of them being girls) are totally comfortable around snakes and I'm surrounded by adults everyday that act like little girls when snakes are even mentioned.

j3nnay Mar 16, 2007 09:56 AM

Isn't it funny how that happens? It's always the parents who freak out more than the kids. I had a lady call my work (I work at a humane society) asking if we had someone we could send to get a "rattlesnake" out of her yard. I had her describe the snake to me and it turned out to be a foot long garter snake. Oi vey.

I think it all depends on what you are taught growing up. My mom was always afraid of snakes and hated it so she taught me not to be afraid and now I love them.
