Hello. This is my first time posting here, I am looking for advice/input regarding my uro. He is a mali and about 6 years old. Recently his one foot was quite enlarged and we took him to the vet, they said it was gout and they gave me a grim outlook for him. She said we could amputate his leg/foot but she said he may not be able to withstand the anesthetic. He appears to be quite "puffy" throughout most of his body and he is not eating like he used to. Has anyone had experience with gout and have any suggestions on if anything can help him?
Much appreciated,

What do you feed your uro?

My lizards eat a huge variety including, kale, chard, dandelion green when I can get them at the organic store, red/green pepper, broccoli, peas, green beans, bird seed sprinkled in, cabbage, carrots.

Any suggestions regarding the gout?
