Poor snake couldn't get away fast enough. Too funny!

That was pretty interesting!
Several times, while photographing reptiles outdoors, I've seen birds beginning to mob snakes. Interesting to see...but difficult to take good pics of your snake when it is trying to escape.
However,I had never seen a rabbit display such behavior.
The rabbit must have young nearby. Cool clip to watch!

Rabbits can be really vicious...over the summer in Jersey I found a big (around 6ft) pine snake going after a nest of baby rabbits...as soon as those things started squealing the mother ran right to the nest and started jumping on that snakes tail til it started to chase her, which gave the babies time to get out of there. Very cool and surprising thing to see.

I think that was the rabbit from Monty Python's Holy Grail! "That rabbit's dynamite"!

Looked to me more like a masochistic rabbit that couldn't get enough abuse than a super bunny. Must have had young nearby like the other poster said. It didn't look like the snake was taking a beating so much as getting annoyed that the rabbit wasn't going away after one strike. I have dial up though and the image was grainy so I might not have seen it correctly.
