Zoo Med Habba Mist System?

savvgawd Mar 16, 2007 11:26 PM

Any of you have experience good or bad using this machine? Seems cheap for a automatic misting system. Does anyone know if you can hook mutiple cages(at least two) up to one system? If not this sytem, what other ones would you guys recommend? Thanks for any replies.

You may use it for small tanks if you are out for a few days. Its bulky and not noteworthy effective.

I've used the Habba mist and it does a ok job, but is very noisy and doesn't spray a fine enough mist for my set ups. I've switched to Pro products Pro mist systems and I've got my cages set up under a multi timer to mist them through out the day. It's whisper quiet and the PM 70 can hook up to 10 cages. Awesome unti they have.

So I guess a more expensive mist system is the way to go? Maybe Ill look at the PM-60. You said the PM=70 could only do 10 hoses? I thought the PM-60 dide 15 and the 70 dide up to 50 hoses? Maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for the replies.

I could be wrong about the amount of nozzles to hook up. I'll check my booklet to see and get back to you about it.

You're right about the nozzle count. The PM 60 can use up to 15 nozzles and the PM 7o can use up to 50 nozzles. I've got the PM 60 misting 5 cages and it works very well.

I went with the Rainmaker system and I'm very happy with it. I actually bought a Habba but it looked too small for my cham's big cage.
