Sorry I am just supper excited! I put some of my pairs together about a week - 2 weeks ago and I already have eggs!!! Wow it seems very quick. All my girls are first time breeders except for my patternless. This will be her second season. She has been with one of my het males now for only about a week and I got her first eggs of this season today, and they are fertile.
I got some eggs from one of my tremper tangerine albinos but not the other girl whom was with the same male a week b4. My male is a little older then most of my leos at about 3years. Im a little confused and concerned about the female who didn't take, so I put my male back with her because she is not showing signs of digging, or any loss of appetite, or any eggs in her at all. Unfortunatly I don't think these are fertile but they are her very first eggs ever.
I also got eggs from one of my tangerine albino fat tails as well but like most first time breeders her eggs also were not fertile. Any how, like I said, I am very excited and this will be my first year of breeding fatties. I have had most of my geckos sinse they were below 20 grams and now over a year later I can finally experience what I've been waiting for again, also for over a year.
All I can say is I better quit yapping and order some more racks and get my website going. I have the name and server and all but I just gotta sit still for a while and actually do it.
I also have a crested whom is laying but she is too old to be doing this. She was with 4 other males and one female for over 3 years. there were like 20 dead eggs all over the cage she was in as well. So anyhow the poor girl is a little used and abused. She was adopted and started laying when I got her. She layed two infertile strange looking eggs a few days ago and another single smaller one that looks normal but has not calcified or turned white yet. I don't think it is fertile however its been almost 24 hours and has not sunken in yet. Oh well time will tell.
These are some of my girls and all the rest that are breeding and the males look similar. Really hoping for some great animals.
