The Blue Box

melgrj7 Mar 17, 2007 01:27 PM

I feed Mikey his bugs in a blue storage type contatiner. He hasn't had bugs in over a week because he has not been eating his veggies. He finally ate his veggies the last 2 meals, so today I fed him super worms. From his tank he saw me get out the blue box and bolted to the front with his head crained over to see what I was putting in it. It was hysterical. He was so excited to see that blue box, he knew what it meant! Even after at least a week he didn't forget. He ran to the corner where I pick him up without me even calling him (I slide the lid over and pick him from the same corner, so whenever I knock on his tank and call his name he comes over to the same corner so I can easily get him). And then, he gladly devoured 7 vitamin coated super worms The End.

Mine recognize blue as well. The earthworm I feed them come in a blue container. They go nuts when they see that. It is funny.

One of my guys is a guttling and comes to me whenever I'm around. Tried to get everyone to associate knocking on their fence with feeding time. Works pretty well.
