Herping spots in Puerto Vallarta?

Hi everyone, I'm taking my family on a Mexican Riviera cruise later next week. Our one long port will be a full day in Puerta Vallarta. Although this is a "family" vacation, my wife did say we can take a hike through town and perhaps in the hillsides looking for herps time permitting. Does anyone know of any good spots or herping destination in this touristy area? Any contacts? Thanks a bunch!
