Those are all great looking Thayeri Jim. Do you have pics of the parents? This green one is from Mitch Allen.
Ken

produced one like that 2 or three years ago. I/we would like to see what that one looks like after shedding. Can you post a current pic.
Here's the link to Jonel's page.

Chris,
I believe Jonel bought that green pinner from Chris Baubel 2 years ago.

You're right. I forgot about that. It's one of the nicest looking greenie's I've ever seen. I wonder what that little gem looks like these days????? Jonel....................

I agree Chris, that one was definitely a prize winner when that shot was taken.

I've seen it once or twice, but not quite as impressive of a pattern along with it. That one is pretty special. Great clutch photo of very classic looking thayeri by the way! Particularly with the melanistic in there. I hope to see that one day soon.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your breeder animals and what happened with them? Too bad you don't still have those, you would be a pretty popular guy around here if you did. I checked out your web page, the adults had a great classic look to them as well.
Thanks for sharing the photo by the way, it's not often these days we see clutch shots with a melanistic.

That clutch, along with two others, hatched in summer of 2002, I sold the adult trio the following summer after breeding. I kind of regret it now but my wife and I needed the money. Here is a pick of the three adults and I'll post a close up of the green one to follow. The female on the left I bought from a breeder as a hatchling in 1995, the male in the center and the female on the right I purchased from another local breeder as adults in 2002. I just picked up a pair of Albino Rosy Boas recently, my first snakes in 5 years. I also added a few new picks to my website below and will be updating it soon with more pics of my new Rosies and several other snakes I have kept in the last 30 years.

I went to your site and checked out that pic, thanks for sharing it here along with the info. The orange on brown female was very nice looking, I love that combination, and I can clearly see the leonis pattern beneath the melanin on the little melanistic guy in this pic. Good stuff!
Which female produced the melanistic?

Mike
The female on the right produced two melanistics in her first clutch (One Pictured with the adults)and the female on the left produced one in her only clutch (pictured with her other hatchlings)
Pictured below is my new project:
...what you sold when you let that trio go. Not intending to rub salt in your wound, finding nice melanistic thayeri these days is like finding needles in a haystack! A few of us are looking to change that sometime soon with a few nice ones in our collections.
Thanks again for sharing all this, it was fun.
Nice Rosies too, good luck with those!
