Eggs in incubator? URGENT!

highendreptiles Mar 18, 2007 11:45 AM

I have a large incubator and have lots of extra room in it. I recently started thinking of breeding crickets, and my incubator stays a constant 85 degrees, and I know that that is the temperature crickets need to breed. So my question is can I keep my crickets that breed in that incubator and use that incubator to incubate the cricket eggs while my bearded dragon eggs are in there? Is this okay for my dragon eggs?

Hi

i wuld not breed crickets in incubator of eggs.
the crickets r very tiny and wil crawl out of it i think .
you can better use a big plastic box and then breed them in
there .
you can make a licht above it so you have heat to incubate the eggs.
take a plastic box thats very smooth on the inside .
r else the tiny crikets wil walk to the top .
for more info about crickets i would typ in google breeding cricks .
many links wil show up for info.

well I have lots of room and I breed the crickets in a large rubbermaid. I put a plastic box of soil in it then take it out and put it in my incubator. So is it okay if I put the cricket eggs in the incubator with the dragon eggs?

I certainly wouldn't! Any escapees would certainly work on eating the eggs. And if you decide later it's not a good idea the crickets will be in the medium and you will have to disturb the eggs to change it. Seems way to high risk for me.
