We've done it with no ill effects. When it is winter and shipping is dependent upon weather conditions.....we make arrangements according to weather and not shed cycles! One of our albino balls went to Phoenix in shed with no problems at all. Of course we did ship Delta same-day service, so it was only an 8-hour trip. I wouldn't hesitate to ship an in-shed animal.
