Mocquardi.. Is that the only common name for that type of beauty? I've looked into beauties a bit, and would love to take the plunge, but don't have the room to house something like Taiwans (which are probably what I'd want).

Do you have any info on the Mocquardi? Like, a direct site or book or anything? The most I can find on them is a little snippet here & there, mostly only describing their colors & patterns. How does the care for them differ from other beauties? And what size do these guys reach?

Thanks. About the only thing close to a nick name for them is Mocquards beauty snake which is not much different.
The best info on the sub species is in "The Monograph of Colubrid Snakes" by Schulz. You dont see much info on the sub species out there as you have found.
Their care is pretty much the same as other taeniura sub species. Adults reach 6 to 7 ft or just over. My oldest female is just over 7ft and she is 6 or 7 years old. They are not as heavy bodied as the Tiawans but are built more like the Blues or Ridleyi, just a little smaller. Their temperment is also more like the Blues and Ridleyi (high strung) than Tiawans.
